Google stole the show at I/O with Gemini Spark, a 24/7 agentic assistant that runs on cloud VMs and accepts tasks via a dedicated Gmail address — no laptop required. The developer keynote launched Antigravity 2.0 as a standalone agent-first platform with CLI, SDK, desktop app, and IDE surfaces — all sharing one agent orchestration system with built-in sandboxing and credential masking. Gemini 3.5 Flash went generally available at $1.50/$9 per 1M tokens, scoring within two points of Anthropic's flagship at roughly a third of the price. #4Anthropic Acquires Stainless for $300M+ in Strategic SDK Play

Anthropic acquired Stainless, the dev tools startup that generates SDKs and MCP servers for API connectivity, used by OpenAI, Google, and Cloudflare among others. The deal, reported at over $300 million, takes a key infrastructure supplier out of competitors' hands. Anthropic will wind down all hosted Stainless products, though existing customers retain full rights to their generated SDKs.
